I never lost my love for play and imagination. As an adult, I use these as powerful tools for healing with children. My approach helps unlock emotional blocks, support trauma healing, and build essential skills — using every aspect of play: art, creativity, role play, music, and sand therapy.
My background is in primary education as a teacher, followed by years of work with charities supporting individuals with diverse disabilities, specialising in Autism. I am highly knowledgeable about the EHCP journey and EOTAS packages and have extensive experience and training as a tutor for children with a PDA profile who were unable to attend school. I am also a trained AutPlay therapist — an approach designed specifically for children with Autism and PDA, focusing on strengthening connection and co-regulation between the child and the important adults in their lives.
As a certified play therapist, I believe that the child chooses and leads. I join them on their journey, gently supporting their nervous system and helping them feel safe, understood, and empowered.
I work with a wide range of behavioural and emotional needs and am passionate about creating an inclusive space that welcomes and supports individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodivergence, and sensory needs. Every child deserves to have their voice heard, valued, uplifted, and respected.
When I work with children, I listen and guide with empathy and curiosity, creating space for empowered healing to occur. I provide a safe, warm, and nurturing environment where children can heal, learn, play, and grow. My approach is child-centred and responsive to both the child’s and the family’s emotional needs. I also provide support to parents and carers, imparting advice and insight throughout the process, while always maintaining the child’s confidentiality and emotional safety.
I support children who have experienced trauma, live with anxiety, OCD, or phobias, face challenges with self-esteem, bullying, or self-harm, or are navigating major life changes such as adoption, divorce, or foster care. I also work with children exploring their gender identity or sexual orientation. My approach incorporates Synergetic Play Therapy, sand tray, and expressive arts, allowing children to process experiences through both verbal and creative, nonverbal expression. This supports emotional regulation, resilience, and deeper self-awareness.
I bring a calm, intuitive, and innovative presence to my work. When play therapy begins, we walk this journey together — towards healing, growth, and discovery.
